These are a few of the activities planned for Corvallis Bike Month, May 2025
The OSU Spring Bike Challenge
Dates: May 1 - 31
Details: ZAP Oregon State is a bike commute rewards program for Oregon State University students and employees. The Spring Bike Challenge rewards the three teams of ZAP riders that bike the most days in May. All biking skill levels are welcome! Form a team of up to ten friends, co-workers or classmates and ride your bikes to win. Register here.
Team Dirt trail work - Spring Cleanup
Date: Saturday, May 3, 9am – 1pm
Location: Alsea Falls Mtn Biking Trailhead, Fall Creek access Rd.
Details: Join Team Dirt for trailwork at Alsea Falls to maintain and build fun stuff. Open to everyone, no prior experience needed. Bring your MTB for shuttle rides after (weather permitting). Volunteers that contribute 12+ hours annually earn an Alsea parking pass! Check Team Dirt's calendar for more trail building opportunities throughout the year.
Corvallis Bike Month Proclamation
Date: Monday, May 5th, 6pm
Location: Downtown Corvallis Fire Station, second floor
Details: Join Corvallis Mayor Maughan as he officially declares May 2025 “Corvallis Bike Month”.
National Walk & Roll to School Day
Date: Wednesday, May 7th
Details: Get active and participate in National Walk & Roll to School Day, promoting healthy and eco-friendly commuting options for students.
SAFE Corvallis Bike Happy Hour
Date: Friday, May 9th, 4-6pm
Location: Meet at Common Fields
Details: Join SAFE Corvallis for a Bike Happy Hour at Common Fields, celebrating cycling and community. Wear your club jersey!
Team Dirt trail work - OSU/Starker Forest
Date: Saturday, May 10, 10am – 2pm
Location: Oak Creek Trailhead
Details: Join Team Dirt for trailwork at OSU forest and Starker forest to maintain and build fun stuff. Open to everyone, no prior experience needed. Check Team Dirt's calendar for more trail building opportunities throughout the year.

Date: Saturday, May 10th, 7pm
Location: Meet at Whiteside Theater, for Filmed by Bike
Details: Corvallis Bike Collective is hosting a film showing and social hour to bring together local cyclists for a night of building community and sharing our passion for all things bike!
Ride of Silence
Date: Wednesday, May 15th, gather at 6:30pm, depart at 7pm.
Location: start at Osborn Aquatic Center. Ride route is here
Details: The Corvallis Ride of Silence, honoring cyclists who have been injured or killed while riding. Slow-paced group ride with stops. Helmet required. Lights highly recommended.
National Bike to Work Day Happy Hour
Date: Friday, May 16th, meet at 5pm
Location: waterfront park fountain (check back for confirmation) Route map here
Details: Celebrate National Bike to Work Day with a group ride to the Southtown Block 15 on the proposed Bikeway route. Block 15 will extend Happy Hour to 6:30 for all bicyclists.
MVBC Midge Cramer group ride
Date: Saturday, May 17th, 10am
Location: start at Osborne Aquatic Center. Potential ride route is here
Details: The Midge Cramer Ride celebrates the life and legacy of Richard P. "Midge" Cramer (1931-1997), one of the founders of the Mid-Valley Bicycle Club. The ride has been held annually since 2001 and features traditions and stories associated with Midge
Corvallis Spring Roll
Date: Sunday, May 18th, register online or onsite at 10am, riding starts at 11am
Location: Cloverland Park
Details: The Corvallis Spring Roll is a community bike and trike ride and cycle fair for families. Register here. It is a fun place for kids to experience the thrill of riding independently in a safe and exciting environment. This is not a race; instead the Corvallis Spring Roll rewards participation and effort (how many laps can you do?). Raffle and door prizes. Volunteers sign up is here
SAFE Corvallis Ward 2 Bike Tour
Date: Saturday, May 24th, 10am-noon
Location: Spicy Pedals
Details: Explore Ward 2 with SAFE Corvallis on a bike tour showcasing the local community, upcoming bike infrastructure projects, and promoting safe cycling practices. Ward 2 includes downtown Corvallis, OSU campus, and the northern extent of Southtown.
