Brownsville Shakedown

An overnight tour to Brownsville's Pioneer park from Corvallis.  This is a low-stakes visit to nearby Brownsville where the Club's weekly rides often venture.  It will be ideal for trying out your camping gear, cooking set up and how to carry it all on your bicycle.

The Details for Participants

May 11th to 12th, 2024

Join us for an overnight ride to Brownsville's Pioneer Park, featuring one night of camping. This tour serves as a test ride, offering you the opportunity to evaluate your bike and its setup for touring. The emphasis is on carrying essential camping gear and testing your food preparation setup.

On day 1 the route takes a scenic route through the flats of the Willamette Valley with a stop at the Historic Thompson's Mills.  Day two is a another fairly flat ride back to Corvallis through fields and farms.  This route has a partial overlap with the Willamette Scenic Bikeway
